Team Curran's Mike Stumpf recently returned to fighting after nearly a three year layoff in May of this year at XFO 39. He took on Dan Bolden in a three round battle earning the unanimous decision after dumping Bolden on his butt time and time again.

He makes the third fighter this year to have fought for the Xtreme Fighting Organization who has gotten the call up to the UFC. Eric Schafer recently got the short notice call after his recent victory at XFO 41 and Jeff Curran secured his spot with his victory at the same card as Stumpf.

Stumpf will be stepping in for Daniel "Ninja" Roberts who suffered an undisclosed injury and had to withdraw from the bout just a week prior.

His opponent, T.J. Waldburger made his UFC debut in September of 2010 and defeated David Mitchell by unanimous decision at UFN 22. The win marked his fourth straight victory, but his next fight snapped that win streak. In March of this year, he took on Johny Hendricks and lost via TKO just over ninety seconds into the first round.

Stumpf will be joined by fellow Chicagoan Mike Lullo at the Battle on the Bayou card on Saturday September 17.
