This Saturday is round two of Strikeforce's inaugural World Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament. Two important fights from the gp reinforce SF: Overeem vs. Werdum. After getting doomed to a KO highlight reel for Junior dos Santos, Brazilian Fabricio Werdum has repolished his career by defeating Mike Kyle, Antonio Silva and most memoriably, Fedor Emelianenko. He will rematch an opponent whom he has submitted before in Amsterdam's Alistair Overeem. Alistair has been destroying his MMA competition since then and holds championship belts in Strikeforce and DREAM. Last year he won the K-1 kickboxing World Grand Prix to further add weight to his combative resume. The grand prix allows for either Overeem to avenge his loss by demolishing his opponent or for Werdum to cement his superiority in the MMA world.

The co-main event is an overshadowed fight between Josh Barnett and Brett Rogers. Barnett is a legend in MMA with a sample of wins being over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Pedro Rizzo and Randy Couture. His opponent has been called back to Strikeforce to fill in the grand prix and is an extreme underdog. But Brett Rogers knocks opponents out.
