News: The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil expected to air on FUEL TV

The first international edition of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series appears to have a broadcast home in the U.S.
"The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil," an upcoming version of the show that features Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort as coaches, is expected to air on the FOX-owned FUEL TV.
UFC president Dana White recently shared news of the plans.
"Nobody knows this yet, and it's the first time it's being told," White told ESPN1100/98.9 FM in Las Vegas. "And to be honest with you the deal isn't 100 percent done yet, but I'm so confident it's going to happen. ... 'The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil' will air on Fuel TV. All this unique content that we're doing in these other parts of the world, Fuel TV is going to take."
FUEL TV officials couldn't comment on the plans when contact by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) but said they have a handful of UFC-related announcements planned for this week.
Filming for "TUF: Brazil" is expected to begin next week with a March 25 debut. It airs locally in Brazil on Globo every Sunday evening. It concludes with a live finale in June. The UFC recently held an open tryout for lightweight and middleweight fighters in Brazil for the show, and the coaches will meet at season's end.
In addition to "TUF: Brazil," regular editions of the reality series will move from Spike TV to FOX-owned FX this year. "TUF 15," which features bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber as coaches, debuts March 9. For the first time ever, all fights will be aired live during the Friday-night episodes.
"TUF," which debuted on Spike TV in 2005 and quickly became a driving force for the UFC's move into the mainstream, has launched the careers of more than 100 UFC fighters and has produced past champions such as Rashad Evans, Forrest Griffin and Matt Serra. While all seasons to date have filmed in Las Vegas, the UFC is planning additional international editions of "TUF" in Canada, Australia, the Philippines and the U.K.

I guess this is basically a publicity move for UFC in Brazil. No American will watch a subtitled reality show.

I have absolutely no problem watching subtitled shows. I grew up watching anime and im sure so did lots of other MMA fans. And if they air this in between the American TUFs its even better, gives us something to watching until our TuF comes out.

I fucking hate when people start chanting U-S-A in pretty much every setting. I just seems so pretentious to me.
