Joe "J-Lau" Lauzon (born May 22, 1984) is a professional mixed martial arts fighter from Bridgewater, Massachusetts. In April 2006, Lauzon won an eight-man tournament, defeating three fighters in one night, in the World Fighting League, and was crowned the WFL Grand Prix Champion. Lauzon was also named 2004 Massachusetts fighter of the year by MassMMA.net. Lauzon made his debut in the UFC versus the former and last UFC lightweight champion Jens "Little Evil" Pulver at UFC 63 on September 23, 2006. He won by KO in 48 seconds, an upset in which he was an underdog at 7 to 1 odds.
Lauzon graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in computer science. He currently works as a network administrator, and has no plans to become a full-time fighter unless he becomes a title contender.
Lauzon is a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 5, which features lightweights exclusively. He is on B.J. Penn's team, against a team coached by Jens Pulver.
