K1 World Grand Prix 2009 in Yokohama was a kickboxing event held by the K1 on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan. It was the first K1 World GP event held in 2009, featuring five Superfights and a four-man tournament to determine the new K1 World Heavyweight (-100 kg) champion. In the main event of the evening, the reigning K1 champion Remy Bonjasky headlined against Alistair Overeem who KO'd Badr Hari on New Year's Eve. All fights were conducted under K1 rules (3 min. × 3 rounds + 2 extra rounds).
The K-1 World Grand Prix 2009 in Yokohama attracted a sellout crowd of 10,328 to the Yokohama Arena and was broadcast live in Japan on the Fuji TV network. The English language commentator team was headed by Mike "The Voice" Schiavello along with "Sugar" Ray Sefo.
